Well hello 2014! January is almost over and I am yet to plan my year ahead, it has been great so far though, if a little busy.
Since new year struck, I have been working non stop and am excited to now be able to share the results of my latest project for H&H Nails.
H&H is the creation of make up artist Holly Silius and jewellery designer Hannah Warner. Their range of beautiful metal nails are popular with fashion designers, stylists and worn by celebrities including Beyonce, Madonna and MIA.
Having created a backdrop illustration for their brand in September last year, I was so pleased to be asked to work with them again on the lookbook for their 2014 collection.
H&H commissioned me to create a series of bold monochrome illustrations super imposed with photographs of nails and rings from their new collection. The resulting illustrations have been compiled into a lookbook which was launched this week at Paris Fashion Week.
All of the following illustrations were drawn digitally using a Wacom tablet and Adobe Illustrator – after the initial steep learning curve I am really beginning to enjoy working this way, and love the clean crisp look of the resulting images.
