Anyone who follows my work would know I have a serious (verging on unhealthy) obsession with the photographer Miles Aldridge. I can’t get enough of his work, and often use his images as inspiration for my illustrations.
This new illustration is no exception. Ages ago I sketched my version of Aldridge’s photograph of a weeping Barbara Palvin, and have only now got around to developing it into an illustration. I’ve given her a muted candy coated hue to play up the ‘Barbie’ image. It’a not strictly a portrait of Palvin but I’m hoping it has a touch of her baby faced perfection.
